From the Oregon Aquarium to visiting the Yaquina Head Lighthouse, there lots to do in Newport

Newport continues to be a popular destination for visitors who enjoy strolling its unspoiled beaches, exploring area lighthouses, crabbing, fishing, sailing on Yaquina Bay, shopping or watching a dazzling sunset. With so may many recreational opportunities and spectacular views, Mimi and I could have spend a week or more in Newport.

We planned a full day exploring and we were not disappointed. We spent time the morning at the Oregon Aquarium then we visited the Yaquina Head Lighthouse. After that came shopping for lighthouse artwork to add to our home collection, and finally, finishing the night with a good meal.
